From the Where2sing.com singers' feedback on karaoke gigs: This karaoke gig runs weekly 6:30pm-9:30pm on Sundays Well what a surprise this was, I only went along because Karaoke Kool had it as a new gig. L-shaped room, recently renovated so I am told, and it looks it. As I told the manager Michael, the best room for sound I have had the pleasure of singing in. Steves mixing and sound production, is good to excellent on most occasions, depending on venue limitations of course. But this was great, as soon as he played his fillers. When the karaoke started, you could be in any part of the room (remember L-shaped), and it was crystal clear. It was like listening to a new Cd. OK, it starts at 6:30pm, on Sundays. Drinks at bar prices of course. If you are hungry, I recommend that you don't eat for two days before you eat in their licensed restaurant. I am a big eater, I paid $19 for a main course and left 1/3rd on my plate. I could have finished it, but I would probably have fallen asleep, or not been able to sing. The waitress told me, most people don't finish, and they take the leftovers home in doggy bags to eat later. You can get your usual fare from a pizza style restaurants here, at reasonable prices. Staff were very friendly, including security. There were not too many singers, as almost no local advertising was done, I have been told this will be remedied. I asked one bar patron to spread the word, and I hope he does because the room can accomodate 1,000. I live around the Caulfield area, and after helping pack up, got home just before 11pm, so it must have finished at 10pm. The usual Karaoke Kool song book, 9,000 songs approximately. Expect and get fair rotation, no preferential treatment, from two of the best hosts I know.
