'Mic Rophone' did well on Saturday night, got through to the Grand Final along with three other female contestants. Well done to you 'Mic' you sang and performed very well. The three female contestants might have had good voices, but other than Connie, the other two didn't bother to move off the stage, no performance from those two. Good voices, that was it.
Catman, yes I have been lucky out at Windsor, and have won the money out there a few times (well I think it is about 9 times now) but sometimes they cut the money down to $200.00 and then it is 4 draws of $50.00 each, so that is what I won on Friday night, still I am not complaining, every little bit helps especially now that Christmas is coming on. To those who may be wondering, Mick does not do the draw out at Windsor, it is either the Duty Manager or one of the Bar Staff.
To 'Miss Mistletoe' thank you for giving us your real name and clearing up some confusion. Your typing style and some of the things that you said on here were similar to someone that a lot of us know.
On the subject of the talent contest at CCC, Robert A did not get into the Grand Final. He chose NOT to sing any Elvis songs which was unusual for him nor did he wear his Elvis suit. He sang 'Only You' by The Platters and 'Delilah' by Tom Jones. I won't say anything, most of the people who know Robert A know what his singing 'ability' is!!! All I can say is that 'Delilah' will never be the same again..........!!
Good luck to 'Mic Rophone' and all the other contestants in the Grand Final this coming Saturday night. If anyone is thinking of going there to support people they know, then I would advise you to get there early, parking is limited at the club and although there is adequate seating, the tables will be snapped up fairly quickly I imagine with contestants bringing in their family and friends. There will be regular karaoke up until the start of the talent contest, but I imagine that anyone who puts in a song request will only get one song. It all depends on what time the club lets karaoke run till.
It is getting late and I am off to bed.
