| From the Where2sing.com forum: Multiple accesses to where2sing, on the one computer, by genuine different individuals, at the one time:
David, a hypothetical - What if a host brings along a computer to a show (or has one at the venue) and is logged on continuously all night to where2sing, and asking punters throughout the night to sign up and vote and make an on-the-spot comment on the show (good or bad) - Can your 'system' detect these as genuine votes/reviews, or will all those votes/reveiws collected on the one night from various individuals at the show on the one computer be counted only as one?
This is not as far fetched a situation as it may seem - and it's a wonder no one has done it yet - Not all karaoke punters have computers, so, if a host is serious about PR, he should bring in a computer to his/her show with wireless connections and invite punters to vote/review his/her show, on the spot.
Maybe, as a courtesy to David, so that there's no misunderstanding (***), he should be forewarned about this very legitimate PR exercise ...
(***) and there have been plenty of misunderstandings on this site - me included as one of the guilt-tinged culprits who jumped to conculsions too quickly some times !
