| From the Where2sing.com forum: Vic... sometimes I fear more about being 'found out' later than I do of the repercussions of letting something be public. And I do a lot of testing with non-subscribers, this case being one.
Go back ten years and W2S would have been a weekly magazine; now it's a website, and many people find the idea of paying for website content/information to be new and odd. This person is one who knows well the hundreds of hours that go into the building of a custom site, is a karaoke fanatic who would be lost without W2S, has constantly contributed information to me, is a generous soul, but nevertheless finds it difficult to subscribe - and I need to find out why.
I think the key to W2S success is finding the correct balance between the information that's delivered free, and that delivered to Subscribers, and so I continue to test different amounts of information to new visitors to see how they react. Any suggestions on how this balance of information should be separated with the purpose of helping people to Subscribe is always welcome...
