| From the Where2sing.com forum: Johnny B............all true, but it does impact on your life when you're running a business. Well it impacts on the business which in turn impacts on your life. I mean weve had people who have never even been to our shows running around telling everyone our shows are crap, simply because they are loyal to another operator or are friends with someone that doesnt like me or us. Its vindictive slander pure and simple but theres nothing you can do about it legally. When we first started I actually recieved violent threats towards my 11 year old daughter if I didnt stay out of the industry, and its happened to a few others up here as well. Of course thats going to affect your life and impossible not to stress about it. It was dealt with by the police and although I knew damn well who it was nothing could be proved. So what do you do??? Apart from installing security cameras all round my house, which we have done for fear of property damage which was also threatened. Not only was it a very expensive exercise but I think it bloody sucks that we have to live like this just to earn a living. These people need to be put in their place. Unfortunately Karma takes far too long for my liking, but she does it well nontheless.
