From the Where2sing.com forum:

Well I am not sure any of you read this part so I shall repeat it. Then you might change your mind. Then again you might not.....

'non-English speaking rude slaps' ?? 'non english speaking rude asians - maybe acceptable but slaps?? Stepped over the line I think.

I go there from time to time and, yes, there are delicious aromas coming from the kitchen (no pickled duck though....hehe) but it's not near enough to the karaoke to be part of it. I love garlic so that's not a problem for me. Yes, this person may have gone on a quiet night for singers, so that part is ok. Singers and non-singers alike (as far as I know) spit on the mike. Yep, I feel they just wanted to get onto the site.

I agree with MA in regards to the venue not having the same feel as the previous venue but the song list is still the same, the sound is still great with no need for foldback. Strict rotation as always and still some great singers go there. I would like to see this karaoke start at 9pm. I would also like them to turn down the lights a little but some pubs need encouraging for this. They give raffle tickets to all the singers first time round so they can go into the draw for a bottle of plonk at the end of the night. But it will all get there and as MA can vouch for and anyone else who has eaten there, the food is really nice and very reasonable.

Well...anyways....for me it was about the slap thing, it has to go...simply not nice and uncalled for.

Now Mim....about that wilderbeast thang.......
