I think it goes way over the line between encouraging singers to vote for your venue, and asking your employees and family to get your venue to the top of the chart purely for advertising reasons. As I have said, that kind of confrontational behaviour makes the running of W2S difficult and time consuming, because the more I tighten the programming to ensure that we all the the result of singers' real choices, the more that your employees and family make it hard work for me to ascertain the real votes.
And that''s why, in the end, the only solution is to throw out most of your gig's votes and kick the voters temporarily off W2S so we can get back to level ground whilst you consider whether it might just be better to spend the time on your gigs (as you mentioned someone else had already wisely advise you).
A high position on the Top 10 is the result of a popular gig, not the precursor.
By the way, I have no animosity over this or any other 'arguments' on the site, so please don't take the cold words written on these pages as indicating annoyance - I understand that I need to set rules, and that this will mean that they will be tested, but there needs to be a degree of cooperation in following the intent of the rules in order for W2S to function to everyone's advantage.
