Kev , with EV speakers you just can't go wrong , they are strongly built , will last for years and years with doing plenty of work , sound is 2nd to none , not heavy to carry nor do they take up much room in the boot of the car , they look good and any one in the know will know they are singing with the best possible toneonics and they deliver a great sound for your patrons to listen too .....the boss will be impressed also heeehe , price is good too ( for the serious host or singer ) , i haven't checked pricing for some time but you should be able to come out with a couple of speakers ( in the range of 300w to 500 w ) for less then $4000 , and if you are looking for that type and quaity of speaker please also consider the OPERA range of speakers , they are made in italy and if any-one know speakers well then they know that the italians certainly are world famous for there sound equipment , i have a couple of sets of Opera's ( 300w & 400w ) and 2 of my freinds ( both hosts ) have EV's and we all agree that these 2 type's of speakers are pretty much as fine as each other , but with Opera there are slightly cheaper , but please only try to buy the ' passive speakers ' ( not powered )( no matter what brand you buy ) for reasons to long to go into here , but its always best to let your amp & mixer do the work when it comes to karaoke.........anyway i hope this has given you some idea for your consideration.....best of luck.....James

Meet karaoke hosts and singers in the Where2sing.com forums . . .

KARAOKE in Australia

You've found the #1 website with the original and biggest karaoke gig listings database listing nearly 1,000 gigs across all states of Australia - each listing with full venue name, address, phone number plus extensive information about the gig itself. Read feedback from singers who have already visited the venue, and see information such as songlist size, crowd size, type of singer and even how much applause you can expect when you visit each gig.

Or visit the forums where both singers and hosts meet and chat - including State-chat forums where you can make friends whom you'll meet up with at a venue near you.

And there are the Gig Reviews, the constantly updated 'National Top 10 Karaoke Venues' chart, specialised lists of venues for Under 18s and currently running Competitions, lists for karaoke rooms, restaurants, karaoke hosts and supplliers, and karaoke news from all around the world.

Of course, the best way to keep up to date is by opting in for the FREE weekly Karaoke News Email.
