| From the Where2sing.com forum: HI ALL ...Johnny.b & M/A..I have really no problem with people 'raping' comps but i've seen a couple of ex-artists that have 'rested on there laurels' & now karaoke & comps have become there seruity blanket and have lost there drive & passion, they love the prizes are the feeling of being outstanding and a winner and now too are scared to leave all that behind , and face a very uncertain world where they are once again a very small fish in a big ocean and where they must put the long hours of refining there stage act for little or no reward for what some-times seems for ever, to use Mr. Holdens words...they are taking the SAFE path and not putting themself's out there , i bet you both know people also that have lost there way?
