From the Where2sing.com forum:

David I have had a response from Zoom, whilst they legally cannot give permission to use reproduced discs, they have advised that if I have an original zoom disc (and I have) then he said they don't mind if I use a burnt disc, however they cannot legally give permission. I will keep you posted. Regards

REPLY from David
That's interesting. Are they're saying that they will unnofficially allow you to use burnt copies at your shows whilst keeping the originals safely at home? And as for 'legally cannot give permission', I wonder why not? Companies like Zoom pay a royalty on every disc they have manufactured, so perhaps they mean that the terms of their own APRA/AMCOS equivalent licence does not allow them to authorise extra copies, but that they would not seek to prosecute you - which may be the closest you can come to doing this legally (a licence from APRA/AMCOS and an indemnity from the karaoke manufacturer). All very interesting...
