Well after reading through alot of the older posts in both the general & qld forums, it seems that loosing a venue is part and parcel of this industry, but what has amazed me is how differently people are treated on these forums over what ultimately is the same issue losing a venue.

Karma was accused and belittled as being bad at business and karaoke for thier comments, yet Rovics express similar disdain towards the management of their venue and oppostion and hardly a peep about them being bad business people. It would seem that with most of life it's not what you know but who you know.

As someone said once to me in the sales industry, ultimately there is no one to blame for the loss of a customer, but yourself. And i don't wish to sound nasty Rovics, but ask yourself this question, is there something wrong with how i conduct my business? Because after reading through some of the older posts, this would seem to be, not the only venue you have lost in the last months. So is it always the venue managers fault or have you yourselfs become routine or boring in the way your business is run. I know of many business who constantly change the way they look or the way they coduct their business and also many music groups constantly change with the times, the beatles did and it worked for them. It is called a corporate makeover.

So maybe instead of looking for others to attacth blame to, maybe a good hard look on the inside of your business and making changes where needed maybe in order before you start looking for other venues.

Now that's just my personal appraisle of the whole thing, nothing personal Rovics but to go from having 4 venues, i think you stated in an older post, to 1 venue within a relative small time frame in business time, you do need to seriously look at how your business operates.
