| From the Where2sing.com forum: Rovics, I think you explained it brilliantly and I am not sure why LBA hates it. I think no FX can make you sound tinny and I hate to break it to LBA but Karaoke is not just about the singer but the audience. There is nothing worse than when a singer gets up and half the place leaves because people make atmosphere. I personally don't like it when there are no FX because even the most talented singer can sound bad if their not singing spot on. If a singer actually knows about FX and sound etc. then I am sure any host will adjust as per their request just like a host will drop the key if the system has the capabilities. I think too many people try to put this professionalism idea into Karaoke but the truth is most people are just there for fun and because they like to sing. I am a awesome singer (LOL) but the only thing that really bothers me is when I can't hear myself or the the music properly (bad balance or foldback) otherwise, I'm singin, I'm having fun, the girls are ooohing (LOL again), I'm happy.
MA: Mike adjusts the sound at my request (usually key drops as I have poor range) and is always happy to do so, but since you like it anyway it's not a prob...
