The main reasons for me are that
1 With the slips singers can sit at their table and write their own songs down.
2 No queuing and trying to tell the Host or their assistant what song they want.
3 Singers can put in all their songs for the night (and mark them in preference of 1st 2nd etc).
4 Singers have even taken the slips home and put them in the following week.
5 If you have any prize draws you can use the slips as raffle tickets making sure its fair.
6 By using a list as well as singing slips you can maintain an accurate list of rotation.
7 A list lets singers see at a glance how many singers there are and where they are on the list
8 With a list there are generally no arguments about a fair rotation system.
9 The lists have been a great assistance for me in that I have kept nearly all the lists at Peakhurst Inn for nearly four years and have compiled a list of all singers and the songs they have sung.
