| From the Where2sing.com forum: David....A smart host could use this concern about starting times as a two prong marketing tool ....1st ...when appling for a gig , stress the point that we ( the hosting company ) always start right on advertising time so as to increasing profit , patron loyality , and giving the show a much greater wider scoop of protental customer and naturally they are getting there total monies worth when employing our company.....
2nd........ advertising on this site and other mediums and stress also that we ( the hosting company at this venue ) always start on the
advertising time so as to increase there 'early-bird ' market , increase profit for the venue , increase loyality for our karaoke company as a whole ( ie.. also at other gigs that we have ) having a greater ,wider scoop of singer attending all our shows and may-be , just may-be in time demand more pay for our gigs ?
So what do you think David is this a good idea or what ?
Of-course for a host &/or company to do this must be well and truly 'up , on top of there game ' , so as to build such a reputation and also they need to devolop very good showmanship skills so they can hold the gig until the sheer numbers take over.....
Thank-you to every one for posting there thoughts and by the comments here, it shows that people are concerned about hosts being so laxy-daysie with there total show and relying on sheer numbers to get them through the night.
