| From the Where2sing.com forum: Hi everyone
I was having a good read through the front page (something that I don't always do) and was taking partiuclar notice of the Top 3 in each state listings and did a bit of addition and found that as of today there are 5 clubs and 19 pubs/taverns/inns or whatever else they are called. I have also gone through the Gig Listings in the NSW secion and have noticed more listings for pubs than clubs. Now does that show that SOME clubs are no longer interested in putting on karaoke shows? What is it about a pub that makes it more appealing to some people to go to for karaoke? Are the pubs the way to go? Do the pubs appeal more to the younger age group? How many people prefer pub karaoke to club karaoke? As I am not a karaoke owner I am asking this of the people who do own and run karaoke shows - is it easier to approach a pub manager rather than say an Entertainment or General Manager of a club to try and get a karaoke show into a club venue? I ask a lot of questions don't I (lol.....) but seriously I am interested in getting some genuine feedback on this subject from karaoke owners and other readers of this forum.
