| From the Where2sing.com forum: Hi jlee.........I've got heaps of questions ,
jlee having been a regular poster on this forum for 3 or more years , i have many times place comments and questions from the trival ones to the big issues , having been most interested and indeed a well involved person with karaoke from the early ninties and having owned & managed pubs and restaurants and also at times ran my own show and coming from a performing entertainment backround and also been a singer of karaoke for some 17 years , i believe i can see things from the three points of view ( the venue owner , the hosting person and the singer ) and i have always tried to stress my points of view with the best intentions , that is for the betterment of karaoke .
Nothing upsets me more than when i see karaoke being look upon as nothing more then a ' side-show ' full of freaks and weirdo's , i've always tried in my own way to deliver karaoke as top-line entertainment and until all sections of the karaoke world ( ie..owners/management , hosts , and singing public ) begin to understand all needs of operations and Not to suffer shonky business operations , and hosts must understand that they need to deliver a consistant , high level performance , and the singing public must understand that to have a high level of entertainment they must be perpared to spend money .
At the end of the day i feel that everyone must look at karaoke from each other points of view and never be happy with ' as long as its al-right , always want your karaoke to be great..
