Kev...
Oh no! Energizer's headed back to Hamilton??? Man... I was even planning on coming to Peakhurst last night but my computer hit the tip of the fritzberg earlier in the week and last night marked the occasion for repairing it. Doubly sorry I missed my night to Peakhurst now. Would have been good to bid Colin farewell...

On the subject of foldbacks...
I like them but only when mixed to sound like the front of house speakers so that you get an accurate representation of the sound. Too often, I find that foldbacks are generally mixed with too much Treble or ''Tiny Tim factor.'' As someone with a naturally deep voice, I find it both distracting and irritating to attempt singing along with a tinny sounding foldback.
Some venues are so large that the speakers are so far apart, so that one really needs the foldback just to be sure to hear oneself. Other venues are more intimate seating wise, so Speakers suffice. It's really a judgement call on the part of the KJ, I think.

Volume levels...
Not a fan of venues where you have to yell in order to be heard by anyone - especially when even then, you are not heard or cannot hear the response from the other person. However, also not a fan of where the person ordering drinks at the bar on the other side of the pub can be heard clearly over your song. I think a good mix (EQ's) makes all the difference though.

Tom...
STRIPPERS and karaoke? Hmmm.... I see a potential market..... lol

On ya Mic Rophone!! Hope it goes well. Hope I can MAKE it there myself but my schedule's all over the shop currently, so shan't commit, at least, not just yet...
