However, the whole point of the article is to see what happens should a singer be unhappy with how their night is going and what they should do about it. Part 1 specifically mentioned late start times as being part of that. Now, some of these things I admit are arbitrary (how many singers you need to start the first rotation, how long I should have stayed passed the scheduled start time), but I made a decision and I intended on sticking to it. What needs to be kept in mind is that this wasn't a matter of needing to start late because of a lack of singers and no one in the room to tell that he was going to start late. The room had several tables going through the song list and there were six singers down a little passed the scheduled start time. At what point do you walk out to look for something else?
I'm happy to schedule another crawl, perhaps to re-evaluate the gigs that scored badly, but I think the fact that this happened at the very beginning of the night when everything should be on track is indicative of how the gig is run.
