LBA: I also have a comment as no hosts I have noticed have responded to your commentary on their gig and I doubt Mike will either. If you arrived at Kellys at 12.20 and left at 1am how was your wait 45 mins. As I recall you were up in about 25 mins hung around for a bit after then left. You also mention the songlist closed early. If you actually attended Kellys on a semi-regualar basis for more than five mins, you would know that Mike closes the list when he has enough singers to go through to close but can still slip in a new singer. Don't feel special, he does that for all new singers when possible. Usually those already there have had a song or two. He does this so as to not make false promises or would you prefer the songlist to stay open all night and then ditch those at close. Considering you have never truly supported the Kellys gigs until Mike passed Weds nights on, I question the true honesty. The only true criticism you give is on Mike. Even the song books you make an excuse for.
In addition, in relation to your comment on discs, I went to Peaky a short while ago and Kev has a good, extensive and up to date list. It is a great show, hosted well and he actually has some newer stuff then Kellys.
I have also been to the SLy Fox and I am amazed you can consider that on even par. It was a bad list and the hosts played favourites big-time and I found the singning back-up completely irritating.
Your entitled to give your opinion and now I am gving you mine.
