| From the Where2sing.com forum: the CCC going will be a sad thing for a good bunch of singer that have been going there for years.
I to as with Puss in boots and kititude share some fond memories of the place and owe alot to this club for giving me solo shows there for about a year.
I was taken to the club by a once then freind when i started to sing a few years ago to attend a comp. Even being a bit green at singing I was proud to make it to the grand final that year and although i did not place i was ask by the GM if I could do solo shows there. I did around 10 shows and got great support from the patrons of the club.This sprung me into action invest into a good pa system and learn a stack of songs.While doing thre shows there I with the help from charlie rasied a good amount of money for the Childens hospital at west mead.The first few shows at the venue I donated 100 dollars per show at that time and the DVD sales firmed by Charlie of a gig there raised around 550.00 show all in all about 850.00 was raised.
The CCC to me has been a great launching pad and it will be a shame to see a good local tuesday gig go.
