| From the Where2sing.com forum: I agree with Boiling point today to.Theres too much of this certain songs belonging to some singers ,mainly because they think (mistakenly) that they're the only ones that do the songs justice ,When in actual fact its BOOOOring listening to them week in week out singing the same songs.you can lay odds on what their next song is going to be.I for one dont want to sing their songs at the same venues as them as the audience are sick of hearing the same songs anyway.When I do sing certain songs though at different venues and other singers know the original whingers they laughingly yell at me (hey!!! have you got permission from so and so to sing that song)LoL.....On the other hand I know a few people,one who cant see the words as shes partially blind, so she learns a few off by heart and a few that are Dyslexic and also have a limited range of songs,So singers in our group will usually leave the songs that they can do for them to sing.But no' way do they ever say, hey thats my song if someone do,es sing those songs.And they do make the effort to learn more songs for variety.
