| From the Where2sing.com forum: Yes CCC is gone for Karaoke Kapers now and as Mic Rophone said George Mick and JOE (not Sam - who is Sam???) lol...... sang the last song of the night. There were quite a few singers there, not as many as I had hoped would turn up, but that is the way of things. One thing that annoyed me was the early closing time and I thought for a minute it was going to be all out war between Mick and Sonia (who was in charge last night). Karaoke was advertised to go from 6.30PM to 10PM yet Sonia came over at 9.30PM and told Mick to announce 'last drinks' and then she came back and told him to close down karaoke at 9.45PM and if he didn't do it then, she was going to pull the plug on the power. There were still quite a few singers left too. No wonder CCC has gone the way it has gone, with staff like that, well it is no wonder that the club has gone downhill. What an attitude to have!!
There have been so many things written about that club lately, I really don't give a damn any more whether the club is taken over by Toongabbie Bowling Club, whether it is bought and turned into an Aldi supermarket. So goodbye CCC. I will miss some of the people I have met there, Manny who I sang my last song to and who always requested me to sing 'All you ever do is bring me down', Doris & Charlie who worked so tirelessly raising money for the Sunshine Club at Westmead Children's Hospital, and Garry who took over the restaurant last year and worked hard to make it a nice place for a family to go and enjoy a reasonably priced meal, and of course some of the regular karaoke singers, although I am bound to catch up with some of them at other gigs around the place. To the people who came along on a regular basis, then I say a heartfelt 'thank you' to all of you.
