| From the Where2sing.com forum: Did anyone in Brisbane/Logan City catch the one off show at Logan Diggers on last Sunday Night. It was based on a selection of TC's 17 most consistant regulars (not the best but consistant singers).
Most of us, myself included chose our best songs and the show went for 3 hours including interval. It was a master stroke because 90% of us were rank amatuers who had no aspirations, but it gave us a reason to return and perfect our numbers before the big one night after night.
The show with little advertisement was full, the club had its largest sales of everything for a long long time, and a good time was had by all. The only downside was the club management did not bother to come and see the show or even comment on a success that cost them all of $60.00.
The beauty of the concept was that it gave people who wouldn't think of competitions something to aim at and an exposure to a large crowd and a huge sound system, whats more other regulars are now pushing for an encor in the hope that their turn will be next.
A very Big thanks to TC for a very big effort in pushing the whole concept uphill all the way, I'm sure sometimes he thought that some jackass had reverse on and the accellartor flat to the floor all the time.
