I sing the first song of the night to double check everything sounds right and then do the last song of the night as a 'farewell' sing and dance along song that gets the audience involved

Apart from that I rarely sing in rotations unless someone requests I do a duet with them or it's that quiet that people are getting up every second song to sing in the rotation

As a host I'd much prefer not being able to sing in between the first and last songs of the night as it means I've got a good crowd in....
