| From the Where2sing.com forum: Hi Wolf.......RE:...Your concern about the new Victorian smoking laws ............Well i posed a question in the nsw state chat site last week that lately i've notice that almost every time i go into that site there seems to be a club ending there karaoke gig or changing to a minor night , and indeed when i get the weekly news letter , lately there seems to be a few ending BUT no shows being added as NEW shows , i ask if this could be the fact that winter is almost upon us or are the smoking laws starting to ' bite ' , i also stated that i could be totally wrong about all this and i asked for comments , None came ( comments that is ) so this to me means that the ' silence is deafening ' and maybe the smoking laws are having ( along with other factors ) an impact , but quite frankly TOO BAD , this is the way it is now and the smokers ( which i am one ) should have grouped together years ago to stop the anti-smoking ball rolling , we now have to ajust to the changes.............infact i'll tell you a story , i went out to a restaurant last thursday for a ' open mic ' night , naturally no-smoking in the restaurant so all us smokers go out-side for a ciggie , let me tell you it is a great way to meet people and we all start having more fun and consersation than inside at the tables , but the funny thing is this that there seems to be more Non-smokers than smokers out side with us smokers , for some reason they are not bothered by all the smoke filling there lungs and getting in there hair and on there clothes , so go figure !!!!!!!
