The karaoke at a venue is hired to bring people into a bar and spend money over that bar, period. If there is no money being made over the bar it makes whatever entertainment is there worthless. So eventually management will replace it or axe it completely. In which case the SWDs do their favourite karaoke host no favours at all. They are taking advantage of a service provided to them completely free of charge but are usually the first to complain if things are not to their liking and the first to spread rumours that the karaoke show was s@#t if it gets canned.
