Couldn't give a toss what Johann thinks. He's a bit of a player wannabe. Tried picking up the females in my company both at the Freeway and at Chatty on Friday. lol. He was also at the R'n'F on Saturday.
Goran(?) the rock singer was there too. He surprised us all by doing a ballad: Bryan Adams' Everything I Do I Do It For You!
Dennis the menace was also in attendance and I finally got to see why he has the rep that he does (of being annoying).
Besides them, there was a guy I knew from the RSK Hurstville gig but he didn't sing. I don't recall his name. Looks a bit like a gangly built Barry Mannilow with George Michael's coiffured haircut. He came to Chatty once and sang Queen's One Vision down an octave or 2. I give him props cos he has a deep voice. He was a bit flu-ey though so he refrained from singing this time.
Besides them, I couldn't identify the people in attendance besides Tony A but he's also part of the Freeway crew.
I was booked to go. May still but if there's a comp heat on, I'll probably do that instead.
I've subscribed just so as to support w2s for helping me find comps rather than write pieces and submit them to get free access. Told ya I'm not your average comp chaser :)
So far, the comp scene appears quiet but I think I'm only down to the C's on the list. There was one that looked great but of course, you have to attend 4 heats to be eligible and there's only 2 or 3 left. Bugger!
Was planning on going to the Menzies too! However, again, if there's a comp going on, I'll opt for that. Has the judging improved in my 2 and a quarter year absence from them? I hope so.
