Heard that last night on Dancing with the Stars.
James, it used to be great when we first started because there was no need to go elsewhere and everyone congregated in the one place.
As a reformed smoker (who smoked for 35 years and paid everyone else’s tax) I at least don't go home covered in someone else’s smoke and my gear smells good from my bubble machine so there are some advantages.
By going and looking for the next singer it does allow me to interact better with the singers also.
I find that as the night gets later however, more people stay closer to the Karaoke and some dance and are quite contented to let their friends go out the back or outside for a smoke while they stay.
July will be the big test up here in NSW as smoking will be completely banned inside Hotels.
We will just have to wait and see how this will affect Karaoke.
