What about you guys at Capital & Sunfly and other karaoke track producing companies that read here? Any input on what you look for in your singers?
H.I.M. has had some top 40 stuff, I know that much and have toured here just a few months back, as well as Europe, the UK and America and very few folk haven't yet heard of them to my knowledge thanks to their song ''Killing Loneliness.'' They covered Chris Isaak's ''Wicked Game'' their version of which I think appeared on a movie soundtrack and Neil Diamond's ''Solitary Man'' also, so even those covers might be worth having on a karaoke list. I just love, love, LOVE that the lead singer (Ville Valo) has a proper deep voice but also goes high, probably covering a 4 octave range. Maybe that's why their stuff hasn't taken off yet since few singers would be able to cover that - partially why I am interested in singing their material in particular. Heheheh.
