From the Where2sing.com forum:

David The set up is like this, I sell Mp3s, if someone wants it on a cd I will convert them and send a CD version, Like Most Aussies I believe a backing track and a Karaoke is the same thing. It's an American word meaning Backing Track as far as I and others are concerned. The Cdg reference on the site is incorrect. I DO NOT have or sell cdgs. I looked into it at one stage but decided there were too many selling them and as special software is necessary etc, it just wasn't worth it. You have reminded me that I must take it off my pages. I just havent got around to it. I have had probably two people this years ask for a cdg and I have directed both to Allans music or others where they can buy the DVDS etc. If thats what your actually selling, then I would be more than happy to refer any requests to your site, perhaps even a link if you wanted it as I really am not into Karaoke Sing and Read the Words stuff. No, I don't sell karaoke tracks. Some of the singers on my website were interested in your website saying that you sold karaoke tracks (purely because that's what it said...lol). I think you'll find that the word 'karaoke' means to most - Americans and perhaps younger Australians - words running across the screen whilst music plays.

Meet karaoke hosts and singers in the Where2sing.com forums . . .

KARAOKE in Australia

You've found the #1 website with the original and biggest karaoke gig listings database listing nearly 1,000 gigs across all states of Australia - each listing with full venue name, address, phone number plus extensive information about the gig itself. Read feedback from singers who have already visited the venue, and see information such as songlist size, crowd size, type of singer and even how much applause you can expect when you visit each gig.

Or visit the forums where both singers and hosts meet and chat - including State-chat forums where you can make friends whom you'll meet up with at a venue near you.

And there are the Gig Reviews, the constantly updated 'National Top 10 Karaoke Venues' chart, specialised lists of venues for Under 18s and currently running Competitions, lists for karaoke rooms, restaurants, karaoke hosts and supplliers, and karaoke news from all around the world.

Of course, the best way to keep up to date is by opting in for the FREE weekly Karaoke News Email.
