| From the Where2sing.com forum: I think that 'mysterious q' and 'jlee' need to be aware that there was a persistent attack of Rovics and several others carried out by Kay of Karma Karaoke for an extended period, complicated by her continually Signing Up under new email addresses (more than 20...lol) in order to continue her attacks. Since it is very difficult to ascertain the likely identity of someone using a nickname until they have made several posts, those who come newly to W2S and post in the manner of previous Karma posts tend to be assumed to be either Kay or her friends posting on her behalf.
I would personally handle it slightly differently from Rovics, but I do understand that they have a right to counter obviously incorrect assumptions posted about their business, and, as a long term and regular contributor to these forums, can be easily engaged in conversations that can be turned against them.
The difference between W2S forums and others is that many here are real and public people, but that there are also many mixed in using, and welcome to use, nicknames. And, because of this, I am prepared to step in and protect those using real identities from those using nicknames when these nicknames are being used as a mask from which to attack..
That said, please may I ask those posting purely from nicknames to ensure that their posts are not inflammatory.
