| From the Where2sing.com forum: Kititude, I reckon that stance is actually quite ignorant. This woman is a paying customer and as far as I'm concerned as long as its licensed she can sing to a bloody tambourine for all I care.
I think the bitchiness comes more from her ability than her media. A hosts job is to entertain and run a show not look up the dictionary for the meaning of the word 'karaoke' every time someone wants to do something a little differently.
Who cares if she is professional, atleast the crowd are being entertained without her charging anything.
By doing anything other than pointing out her copied disc and letting her sing to her hearts content (however she wants) is contrary to what the host is being paid for.
Even I try to play singers discs when I can and my list is more than 3 times the size of that!
I say get your finger out and do your job, make this woman feel as welcome as everyone else at the show regardless of her talents!
