From the Where2sing.com forum:

To settle this matter once and for all, one of the discs that the lady bought in last night was a copied disc, Joe immediately picked up on it and refused to play it, the other he said was O.K. However one thing I will say is that with one backing disc that she bought in, it originally had a photo of what appeared to be a female Asian singer on the front cover of it, this woman had cut out a photo of her face and stuck it over the face of the singer on the cover!! That seemed very strange to me. I tend to agree with 'Lex's' comments as I would find it hard to sing a song that I didn't know too well without the words coming up on the screen. Perhaps those who think I am picking on the woman in question should come to the Band Club and see her for themselves and make their own decision!!

'Sing4fun' I said in my last post that I was not being bitchy or anything else like that, I was after some feedback from hosts and that was what I got. The woman in question is a relatively good singer, but I have heard better and I have heard worse. I do not run karaoke at the Band Club, the decision on the singers lies solely with Mick and Joe. What I was saying is where does the 'fine line' end between people singing from non-karaoke discs and the usual karaoke disc?? Seems that I have at least caused some discussion on this subject on the forum!!

Puss In Boots, no need for the popcorn or anything else like that, there is not going to be any fight or argument. I was after feedback, I was after other people's opinions and they have given them. Some people would go along with what I say, some people wouldn't, if we were all the same and thought the same then it would be a dull, boring old world!!

That's it, end of discussion, let's find something else to talk about. As for me, I have work to do, so I will say goodnight for now.
