I LIKE that idea though I suspect Sir Terry would likely only do that for UK telly's version of it since that's where the phenomenon started with Simon Cowell's original show, 'Pop Idol.'
Some karaoke comps have tried to follow the format of having 3 judges, one of whom is nasty. I find them so cheesy, it's not funny. I just hate copycats. I guess that's why in general I hate Elvis impersonators but I have to admit there is a guy called Doug Church who does a damn good impersonation of Elvis in his later years.
