| From the Where2sing.com forum: Hi All ...This topic ...illegal discs & software......in my opinion this problem will always be around until such time that they ( the powers to be ) have a pro-active ' policing force ' that operate in every state night after night going to pub / clubs / restaurants and any other venue that may have karaoke and demand to view discs / software and then if they find anything ' illegal ' they hand out summons to appear in court , both operator and owner of the venue and then start handing down those $260,000-00 penalties , the ol' sting with the ' duke-boxes ' once a year is really having little effect , I myself have seen hosts and patrons openly swap burned discs ,with-out a care in the world , some-times i wonder who is the idiot , me who has spent many tens of thousands on discs or people who have a ' network of friends ' happening and spend next to no-thing and they know they have little to fear , this really pisses me off , the only saving grace is the fact i know I'm doing the right thing , i live with-out any fear plus i have an asset ,
