Thank you for your kind words re Mick and I taking over Karaoke Kapers, I have already changed one thing and that is the shirts that Mick and Joe were wearing, they now have something nice and bright!!! I believe that karaoke is a fun night out, and as Mick and Joe have chosen to wear 'uniforms' then why not make them at least bright and colourful. If you happen to stop by the Band Club tomorrow night, you will see a definite change in the colour of the shirts that they will be wearing!!
I must admit to being a bit on the nervous side about working on panel again at the new show at Blacktown Bowling Club tonight, but it will help me get back in the swing of things in case Joe ever needs a night off. I am looking forward to the challenge of now being a 'karaoke owner' and of course will be looking for some new gigs as Karaoke Kapers does have two working units ready to go. One thing I will say here and this is to ALL the karaoke owners, I am NOT one to go around undercutting anyone nor do I believe in stealing any other operator's gigs. There are a couple of slimeball owners in this industry who will undercut anyone just to get the gig, I am definitely NOT one of them!! Before I go looking for gigs to source out and see if they want to put on a show, I intend to do my research (actually I am in the process of doing that) of going right through the gig listings and making sure that any club/pub that I contact does not currently have a karaoke show operating there. I have only been an 'karaoke owner' now for 3 days, I don't intend to make enemies by stealing gigs from other operators!!! A lot of people on here might know me for being outspoken, but the people who know me personally will tell you one thing I abhor is dishonesty and to me anyone who deliberately goes out and steals a gig from another operator is totally dishonest.
OK that is it with the serious part, someone get me a ladder so I can get down off my soapbox!! (Lol...........!!)
