I think you would be in danger of violating copyright laws there, dude. I have a BBC sound effects audio cassette from all those years ago but like any professionally released audio recording, it is protected by copyright law and not for public use. Any radio or TV program using those types of sound effects, likely have to pay royalties for the use of them (assuming they were not their own recordings). So, unless you were willing to inform APRA that you were using it to add to the impact of your show and pay them just as businesses who use radio as background music are obliged, then I say either get your own recordings made or forget it.
