Great to see you all at St Pat's this evening. What a busy night! I was surprised to get a second song in given my late arrival.
Afterwards, I chatted with Carmelita at the station and on the train a while. She certainly gets around, that girl. I see her all over Sydney; even bumped into her at both Redfern and Merrylands recently. Alas, she doesn't have a computer and is afraid to start learning how to use them now that she's in her 60s, so we shan't be seeing her here. Given the combination of her serious face at karaoke and preference for competition venues, you could be mistaken for thinking she's an old stick in the mud but no, she loves a giggle and is quite a nice lady.
I will get up to St Marys one of these days for the FJ's gig. There's a couple of comps I've heard of in the meantime though on conflicting nights, so after attempting to qualify for those, I'll come along for sure. Most of the RSL karaoke gigs, I've attended have been great and I'm sure with FJ's in charge, St Marys will be yet another winner in my books. I'm looking forward to it. I'll likely be heading up to the St Pat's gig in the meantime though cos I love it there.
