Age-ist karaoke heathen!! :P Ditch the classics indeed! Let us not forget how karaoke lists got their start with these classics and that there are still fans who sing their faves from even back in those days and without their support, we would not be enjoying virtually up to the minute hits as we do today. Keep the classics in there, I say. Besides, I know I am not alone in enjoying a good return to classic-dom at karaoke. Many of the 18 year old attendees are even belting out the golden oldies of yesteryear which I find heartening. I was beginning to dread that piano and campfire sing alongs of the future would have people reciting such 'classics' as 'F*** The Police' & 'Smack My B*tch Up' & 'Sh*t On The Radio' and other 'evergreens' of contemporary music.

Good question! I have long been saying I'll be attending 2 venues in particular - Rob Deal's Parra gig and Kev's Peakhurst one - and that list of venues to go to keeps getting added to, despite rarely getting the opportunity to but I will definitely get to St Marys before too long. The night it falls on makes it easier for me to get to.

Interesting but that's just a blow to the ego cos it would mean Melinda left me and would seem serious as opposed to the situation in my line and the Leslie Nielsen style facial expression to go with it. lol

Thanks for the compliment. I have to admit, it was nice to see a long forum post from someone else for a change. Heheheh. Which karaokes do you frequent? We may meet up yet.

I do not know what I have done to garner such positive reactions from folk but thanks guys. Most kind of you all.
