Daniel, if the host of the show that you go to is treating you that rudely, then I think you need to find yourself another show to go to. A good host is one who entertains, can be funny at time, and most of all gets along well with the crowd who come to the show. The sound person needs to be someone who can (as I put it) 'tweek' the sound till it is just right and listen to any complaints that a singer might have and try to work on them. Even if a venue is busy, the host doesn't have the right to be rude to you. After all, if the host is rude to you, he/she could be rude to everyone and if that is the case and everyone walks out then the host doesn't have a karaoke show. Rudeness is the best way to lose a gig. Find another place to go and I hope you enjoy it more.
