From the Where2sing.com forum:

Nice to see that you guys take your craft seriously - a stark contrast to some of the fly-by-nights doing 'mates karaoke'. I was reacting to some posts many months ago when I first raised the noise issue. They seemed to be interpreting me as favouring 'old farts' music over 'young' music mentioning 9 Inch Nails etc as loud music when, in fact, I was referring to overall volume not style of music. At least we're all now on the same wavelength. If I do Born to Be Wild or AC/DC I expect it to be louder than Shadow of Your Smile. And the latter song requires the KJ to turn up vocal as it's quiet & low and tends to disappear. But in neither case do I want to sound like a bingo caller and I want to entertain rather than deafen people.
