| From the Where2sing.com forum: quickie review of Concourse Bar, Wynyard Station (separate from nearby Menzies). Starz runs this with a list of 10,051 songs. All my favourites were on the list, including ones others had cashed in from laser disc days. Now a 7:00 start as lack of singers in the immediate post-work time slot (pity!). Sound system runs through house ceiling PA. My personal test was how well it handled bass vocals and the sound seemed good to me. The bar staff in next room seemed even more impressed, praising the song. The hosts try hard to get after-work 'suits' up to sing and had some success. Main problem is that this bar doesn't serve dinner so one would likely attend either before or after dinner in CBD. Clearly, after-work has its limited market but is very welcome and I certainly recommend it. Crowd was mostly male but very supportive of all musical styles. I can't comment on after dinner as I left at 8:00, so will leave that to another reviewer.
