| From the Where2sing.com forum: I can only say Opera Arias have forever attracted popular recognituion, Mario Lanza in the Fifties had the ladies throwing their panties, Harry Secombe, David Whitfield have hit the charts, each decade has produced tenors and sopranoes that have added to popular music demand the Three Tenors as such added a larger commercial attraction to this genre and have handsomely reaped the benefits when marrying themselves to Pop Stars with recording hits John Denver, Michael Bolton etc etc. in fact Bolton went one step further and recorded his own arias album in the late 90's so much for training it sold well worldwide although he didn't get a La Scala booking,POOR SOUL. As for Karaoke I bet we can all give 'Nessun Dorma' 'Che Gelida Manina' or 'Figaro' a Bash just check out the Capital site! Do RE MEEE FAR SOOOO
