| From the Where2sing.com forum: after reading Kevs statements regarding swearing and i agree except in the cases where it would be remiss to allow any other word to fall in the space required( i refer to Billy Connolley's statement that sometimes Go Away doesn't have the desired effect)but unless you are an idiot you must realise that is not the most intelligent thing to do in the first place if you are hosting a show starting at 7pm and you allow a punter to sing the ballad of Chasey Lain at 7.15. It all comes down to common sense and the best times for these songs are later in the evening when the punters are more accepting of these things. all-in-all people its your choice of when to play these things in the long run! Ask Rosie and Vic if swearing was allowed in the Brook or any of my other venues and they will tell you that it was explained during the opening Monologue that ONLY when the word was there in the first place and if you broke the rule (#2 subsection a) you forwent any other songs for the night. easy enuff......
