| From the Where2sing.com forum: Barri tone... ref..duets...chasing around for a partner at the other nights Northmead competition meant I had introduced myself to the whole club!!!......now everyone! knows me...for someone who shies from social limelight (except the stage of course)....very challenging...ended up finding someone but missed out on the comp. but i had the opportunity to sing a couple of songs, anyhow.
Duets are a great way to introduce new singers. I suggest also it is a great way to get around the difficulty when the pub/club is packed out. For the host they can also have the option as to who they will turn down the volume on a that little bit too...
JohnnyB...ref. chatswood and northmead karaoke duet comp ....maybe there is a karaoke medium doing her work?......The comp at Northmead was very good, there were a couple of ladies singing in a duet who were especially fantastic and clever with their harmonies. Duets encourage groups to mix so I reckon they are great idea. Not sure as to if the competition is running over several weeks....the (websites not allowed in the forums) site will tell u i guess.
Further on duets again...love it when someone with a trained and wide range, sings both the female and male vocals...though have not heard anyone do this for a while....anyone offering?
