| From the Where2sing.com forum: Hey Johnny B my point is simple if you want to be an Opera singer,Shakespearean actor , in fact any form of entertainer you make that choice and commit to whatever disciplines you must, to be successful, you mention martial arts then remember 'wipe on - wipe off' (Karate Kid) you made a choice, I never had the opportunity, only the do re mees battered into me by a mad old school music teacher, and guess what Johnny , it certainly works for me!
Someone once said 'give me the boy and I'll give you the man' or words to that effect sometimes our maturity takes us in different directions , you have chosen your direction and are willing to share your experience I applaud that, however due to my lifes baggage I differ with your opinion, thats all!
You have a great book there so any critique must be accepted in the spirit of knowledge and the DISCIPLINE/S taught by the same I am sure if we ever meet up in the spirit of Karaoke we will have much in common and plenty to debate and believe me I do try to get around interstate when business allows?
By the way did tune in to Paul Potts today and agree his singing cannot be compared however this was about 'Britains got Talent' and his package was certainly a surprise, as the lady said ' A Piece of Coal turning into A Diamond' and as a #1 fan of Boccelli I will not comment on Potts winning song only to say 'Time to Say Goodbye'
