| From the Where2sing.com forum: Farnham and Barnes are a good example of the issue. As tenors they are in exactly the wrong key for most males. By contrast, a soprano's song might be dropped an octave and sound OK for a baritone. But dropping 3 notes on Farn & Barn even with the rubber band on the privates makes for a squeaky sound. Dropping an octave only creates Darth Vader. So we never get it right. The challenge is less their songs than their key.
