I would love to know what makes you so qualified to judge all these venue's? I read the reviews for my favourite karaoke shows and you weren't too impressed with them at all. In my experience these shows are the greatest on the coast! Your reviews are about 12 months old, head to the venue now and have a look.My best friend and I have been following the 'Stars In Their Eyes' Karaoke shows for almost 5 years now, other shows come and go but nothing compares to their shows. We have become great friends with the operaters and even host some shows ourselves.
So before you pass judgement, speak to those people who are at the shows on a regualr basis, and that have been able to judge them in comparison to others. REPLY from David
I wonder whether you think that I write everything that's on the website? Most of the info and feedback is provided by singers and hosts across Australia, and you'll find their nicknames at the top of the feedback and comments that they write.
On the other hand, if you're commenting about the extensive reviews that I write of many of the venues, I understand that you may love a particular host or show, but I do wonder if you visit anywhere near the number of karaoke shows in several countries? As far as 'Stars In Their Eyes' goes, I agree that the sound is reasonable (I was last at the Monday night Labrador gig in March of this year and found the sound quality to still be a little muddy, and the overall balance when on stage to be a bit strange, so my review of 12 months ago would be pretty much as I'd still review it. If you want to experience really good sound, and a professional hosting style that leaves most for dead, then do read the Noose Surf Club review.
