| From the Where2sing.com forum: Hi Sammo .....Thanks for that , well that's what i thought as i use to pay those fees also with my businesses , i think it won't really effect the larger venues as they will load the costs on drinks and entry fees or maybe they'll wear them because of there greater turn-over , but once again its the 'little corner pub or venue or restaurant ' that will feel it the most , just think this way , before the increase a venue or restaurant that had a license capacity of 100 patrons was paying $7 per night of entertainment , NOW those same venues will have pay $105 per night of entertainment , now the jury is still out on the effects of the smoking ban as far as turn-over is concern ( they'll take a month or two ) but to pay out this type of money ,EVERY single night that entertainment is on , for a smaller venue or restaurant just may-be the ' Straw That Breaks The Camels Back ' . , having said that , I'm' pleased that artist will be getting much more fairer monies for there craft and hopefully some of this money will go towards 'enforcement ' , but i also hope they are not ' biting the hand that feed them '...
