I've heard some of those songs but can't be sure if I've actually heard them done. I know only that I've heard Too Much, Too Little, Too Late sung at karaoke twice - first time was by the one-armed, Joe E. King years and years ago with a young (and very drunk) girl bragging over the microphone that Joe was going to make her a star. Don't know if that worked out for her or not but I'm assuming 'not,' since I never saw or heard of her again and have only heard Joe mentioned once in ensuing years.
So you're through to the finals? Woo hoo! Who's your partner? Ah never mind. I'll ask you tonight at Chatty if you're there.

Barri Tone...
G'day. Thanks for the input. Have only just listened a few times through while typing. Was singing along down the octave (just deep of comfortable) but I may be able to sing it in Glenn's register if I put my mind to it. Oh and yes, I may be able to take it up 2 and sing down the octave but it'll be nice to test the range out a bit. ;)

Tomorrow at St Marys it is then! Just as well I decided to see Harry Potter last night then. lol. See you there!

LeatherBaron...
I'm currently putting the finishing touches on my email regarding the show. I had heard about it this morning through a KJ who called me to let me know he'd just been contacted by channel 7 about it. I don't care what it's about. If it's a chance to sing and perform on TV in front of a live band, it sounds just like the kind of exposure I'm looking for so I definitely want to try to get in.
Given that the singer needs only to be able to entertain for a few lines per song and have a good knowledge of music from oldies to contemporary, my guess is it could be a new twist on the 'Name that tune' type of shows. Little daunting as far as contemporary tunes go cos, like caller Wayne in the D-Gen's '5 in a row,' I don't listen to the radio... lol
